The suburb lies on the north west edge of the city en route to Inverness [A96], and  is situated approximately 4 miles from the city centre and 2 miles from Aberdeen Airport.

It is conveniently located next to a bus route, local walks, and close to golf courses plus cycle tracks along the old Buchan railway line. Within two miles gives you access to Dyce railway station which forms part of the Aberdeen to Inverness route.
